The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
